Knoxville native Andrea Pennington Dubois was encouraged by her dad, Elwood Pennington to pursue a career in real estate. He saw in her the potential for a career that showed her talents especially in under- standing and forming relationships with families.

After graduating from college her first job was marketing and promoting her family’s marina on Norris Lake. This opportunity opened the door to meeting buyers and sellers for Norris Lake properties. Her first sale was a lakefront home in 2004, and from there, she quickly became a Norris Lake and Knoxville residen- tial expert. It was a natural fit having spent time growing up in her grandparents’ Norris Lake home. Andi, as she is affectionately called by family and friends, moved to Tyler, Texas, to marry David Dubois, the man of her dreams in 2009. She worked selling and promoting a lakefront golf course community. When the mountains called her back home in 2013, she picked up where she left off and hasn’t looked back since. As her dad had predicated, Andi loves the personal part of real estate. “Getting to know my clients and

forming lasting friendships is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a realtor;” she said. “It’s a rela- tionship business, and I’m so thankful and blessed to have found my calling. The biggest key to my success this past year has been having great realtor relationships and using those relationships to network and find off-market deals. Finding off-market properties has been so rewarding. It is no longer enough to rely on the MLS to produce a perfect match for a client.”

To limit frustration in the marketplace for buyers, Andi finds one very important aspect is buyer con- sultations before you even step foot in a house” she continued. “Having a game plan prior to their falling in love with a home helps set the expectations of a buyer beforehand. All of this plays into the customer service side of real estate, and for me it is about the people, not the transaction. I want my clients to feel and know that their time is valuable to me and that being chosen as their realtor is the highest honor for me professionally.” Andi is a busy wife and mom of three boys Cade (10), Woods (7) and Dax (5). When not busy with finding the right fit for her clients you will find her on the basketball court, or football and baseball fields in the Knoxville area.
